Samantha McCandless
Chief Merchandising Officer, The RealReal
Samantha is a seasoned professional in the fashion industry with more than two decades of experience in digital, strategy and merchandising. Currently serving as the Chief Merchandising Officer for The RealReal, Mrs. McCandless oversees all of site and retail merchandising, strategic partnerships, pricing, planning, retail stores as well as creative operations for the company. Previously, she served as Vice President of Digital at Old Navy and Vice President of e-Commerce for the Gymboree Corporation. Samantha has deep knowledge in digital content and strategy, operational planning and efficiency, and scaling major national retail companies including GAP Inc., GUESS, and Williams-Sonoma. She started her career in management consulting bringing a unique cross-industry analytical and innovative perspective to merchandising. She firmly believes in the power of the circular economy and is a driving force for securing strategic partnerships with sustainable brands for The RealReal. Mrs. McCandless graduated from the University of Southern California with dual degrees in International Business and Broadcast Journalism.
