Gen Oraa
Partner, Transaction Advisory Services at CohnReznick
Gen Oraa is a Partner specializing in transaction advisory services, with extensive experience leading financial due diligence for merger and acquisition transactions on behalf of strategic and private equity buyers and sellers. She has advised middle market clients on transactions ranging from $10 million to over $900 million in enterprise value.
Gen brings deep experience across a broad range of industries, including professional services, government contracting, aerospace and defense, architecture and engineering, construction, industrial and manufacturing, distribution and logistics, media and online advertising, education, retail, and business and staffing services.
In addition to financial due diligence, she advises clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, including letters of intent, net working capital peg analysis, purchase agreements, purchase price adjustments, debt and debt like items, and closing statements.
Prior to joining CohnReznick, Gen worked in transaction advisory and audit roles at leading global firms.

Paula Smithers, CPA

Paula is a long-term member of the government contracting community and former CFO of Newbrook Solutions, a technology company which sold two years ago. As a CPA providing mission critical financial solutions, Paula brings deep industry expertise, along with an appreciation for the very heart of the M&A process — due diligence. At Newbrook Paula worked to grow the company over a twenty year period and during the company’s sale to Edgesource Corporation served as Acquisition Manager, consolidating deliverables, removing roadblocks, and ensuring a win-win for both sides of the deal. She partners with business owners seeking a sale or inorganic growth.
